Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

I'm a mom of two based in Arkansas, born and raised here, and proud to call it home. I'm an avid sports fan and outdoor enthusiast, and when I'm not working, you can usually find me spending time with my kids, at a game or a concert.

I also truly love what I get to do every day - working alongside an amazing team and building a company I'm proud of. Creating spaces that help people live better, and building a business that reflects my values, has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.

How long have you been organizing spaces? What inspired you to start sharing your room-by-room organization journey, and how has your home evolved since you began?

I've been organizing spaces professionally since August of 2023. It all started when a close friend and business partner at the time, Katie, and I were sitting around talking, and I casually said out loud that I really wanted to be a professional organizer. She immediately believed in me and encouraged me to go for it - and I truly wouldn't be here today without her pushing me to take that leap.

Jordan and Katie of Room by Room.jpeg__PID:49da7cd0-eb4b-490c-958f-6174b622751f

From there, I began sharing my room-by-room journey online as a way to document the transformations and connect with others who wanted to bring more function and calm into their homes. Because I'm always testing new products, systems, and solutions before using them with clients, my own home is constantly evolving. I love trying out new bins, layouts, and organizing tricks so I can confidently bring the best, most practical ideas into the homes I work in.

When organizing a space, what’s your go-to rule or mindset that helps keep things functional and beautiful long-term?

Room by Room Closet Organization.jpg__PID:97132b35-04aa-413a-98aa-50af96e2eddc

My go-to mindset is being honest and practical about what you actually use and need. So many people hold onto things for "just in case" reasons or out of sentiment, but over time that creates clutter that works against both function and beauty. For a space to truly work long term, you have to be realistic about your lifestyle - not just the picture in your head of how you want it to look. When you let go of what no longer serves you, it becomes much easier to create systems that are both visually appealing and easy to maintain.

What Does Resourcefulness Mean to You

For Albert, resourcefulness is “solving issues the smartest way and the simplest way,” and it starts with slowing down. His role involves diligently reviewing customer service requests and shipping replacement parts; whether for rolling workcenters or shelving units. Taking the time to fully understand each request helps reduce waste and prevent unnecessary returns. “It takes a little longer,” he says, “but I’d rather spend an extra two or three minutes upfront and not rush, than risk sending the wrong part and spend more in shipping and materials. It’s getting it right from the start that matters.”

Customer Service Parts Ready for Shipment.jpg__PID:b97027ad-d4d4-4206-90fb-e534585abb0b

For Carmen, resourcefulness means “finding practical solutions, using the resources we already have, and looking for ways to improve processes”. Lourdes describes it as “doing the best you can with the tools, people, and knowledge around you.” Stephanie views resourcefulness through a creative and sustainability-focused lens. To her, it’s about “adding another use to what you have on hand. Seeing possibilities everywhere and an invitation to be more creative.” She compares it to everyday habits like reusing boxes for gifts or rewearing a favorite sweater simply because it’s already there. She uses this perspective in her work, finding resourceful solutions that support sustainability goals while encouraging others to rethink what’s possible.

If this adorable elf placing a cardboard star on a cardboard tree isn’t convincing enough, here are a few more reasons to inspire you:
·Sustainable & Resourceful: Easily upcycle packaging from gifts or deliveries; brighten your space with materials you already have.
· Creative & Personal: Handmade décor adds sentimental value and gives the season a deeper, warmer feeling.
· Budget-Friendly: When you use what you have, beautiful decorations come with no added cost.
· Quality Family Time: Crafting is a fun, engaging activity for all ages. It’s the best way to get everyone gathered around the table.

Which room in your home do you think makes the biggest impact once it’s organized—and why?

I will always say the pantry - and really the kitchen as a whole. It's the most used space in the home. It's where mornings start, meals are made, kids grab snacks, and friends gather. It's truly the center of daily life. When that space has order, purpose, and an easy-to-maintain system, it creates a ripple effect throughout the rest of the home. An organized pantry and kitchen don't just make things look better - they make everyday life run smoother for the entire family.

As I learned more about how resourcefulness shows up across the company, it became clear that good ideas can come from anywhere. It doesn’t matter if an idea is inspired elsewhere or feels small; what matters is taking action. Lourdes is a great example of this. After learning about a packaging reduction idea at the 2024 Walmart Sustainability Milestone Summit, she brought it back to the team. The change was implemented, eliminating over 1,000 pounds of plastic from entering landfills.

Albert and Carmen echo this mindset by repurposing slip sheets and packaging materials from incoming inventory trucks (materials that would have otherwise been recycled). Using these materials to pack customer service replacement parts cut packing time from 15 minutes to just 3, allowing the team to ship more orders efficiently while extending the life of existing materials. “They were perfect for a cookie-cutter method,” Albert explains, “instead of breaking down larger pieces of cardboard every time.” They ensure that every part is packaged safely and test whether the corners and surfaces will be adequately protected during transit. The team implemented a stamp to mark boxes that have been repurposed and given a second life. We hope the stamp encourages you to get creative and extend the life of materials around you — especially packaging materials, which, as Stephanie mentioned, is “the ultimate single-use item.”

What are a few organization mistakes you see people make most often, and how can they easily fix them?

One of the biggest mistakes I see is using mismatched bins, especially in spaces like garages, attics, and storage rooms. Different sizes and styles don't stack or fit well together, which wastes valuable space. Using uniform bins - even if it means investing in a few new ones - makes everything more efficient, easier to store, and much more visually clean.

Another common mistake is not grouping items together. Whether it's a pantry, bathroom, or playroom, items should be organized by category so you can easily find what you need and put things back where they belong. Simple grouping creates instant order and makes maintaining the space much easier.

Could you tell us about a memorable transformation you helped achieve?

Garage Transofrmation with UltraHD Storage Systems.jpeg__PID:65f453be-e48f-4dc5-a499-c1c9678a4eef

Some of the most memorable transformations for me aren't just about how a space looks - they're about how someone feels afterward. I've had so many clients tell me that organizing their home gave them their life back or made them feel comfortable in their own space again.

When clutter builds up, it can become overwhelming to the point where people don't even enjoy being at home anymore. Being able to step in, create order, and help someone fall back in love with their home is what makes this work so meaningful to me.

A World of Difference

Getting organized doesn’t have to be overwhelming, and you don’t have to do it alone. Learning from experts like Jordan shows how thoughtful, room-by-room organization and smart storage solutions can make everyday tasks easier and more functional. Sometimes, asking for help and learning from someone who knows how to create systems that truly work can make all the difference.

With the right storage solutions, practical systems, and a realistic approach to organizing your home, creating a space that supports your lifestyle isn’t just a dream. Take a look at the incredible garage storage setups Jordan has created for her clients using our UltraHD® total organization systems and explore more of her transformations on our Instagram @sevilleclassicsoffical or her page @roombyroomarkansas for even more home organization inspiration.

I couldn’t end this Q&A without asking our Sustainability Coordinator what she’s excited about next. Stephanie sees an opportunity to rethink warehouse waste, from damaged parts to plastic packaging fillers. One idea she’s exploring is equipment that could transform used cardboard into box fillers, replacing plastic alternatives and giving materials another purpose before recycling.
